Victor Sgarbi has been singing the role of Escamillo for many years, without ever losing the passion for this character in Bizet's most famous Opera, Carmen.

Previously a successful dentist and oral maxillofacial surgeon in Brazil, Victor seamlessly transitioned into a full-time professional classical and operatic singer. His captivating presence and rich baritone voice have charmed audiences worldwide, establishing him as a prominent figure in the realm of classical music and opera.


Victor Sgarbi's remarkable adaptability is brilliantly showcased in his performances of both operas and oratorios. His repertoire spans the timeless compositions of Handel, the enchanting melodies of Mozart, the passionate arias of Puccini, and the dramatic works of Verdi.


Victor's journey continues with the addition of the following roles into his fach rep: Belcore in L'Elisir d'Amore, the endearing Father in Hansel and Gretel, the enigmatic Sparrow in Maria de Buenos Aires, the commanding Maestro in Prima la Musica poi le Parole, the towering Polyphemus in Acis and Galatea, and the heartfelt trio of Marcello, Schaunard, and Colline in La Boheme. His resounding portrayal of Conte Almaviva in Marriage of Figaro, the intense Tonio in I Pagliacci, and the jovial Papageno in Die Zauberflöte are just a glimpse into the breadth of his talent.

In 2016, he embarked on a transformative mission to Palestine, where he collaborated with the Choir of London in workshops and concerts. Through this initiative, he played a vital role in raising awareness about the ongoing conflict, demonstrating the profound ability of music to bridge divides and ignite change.
